Guided Archipelago Cruise, 2.5 Hours
· Guided boat tour through Gothenburg's car-free southern islands
A boat trip from central Gothenburg out into the southern archipelago, the string of car-free islands that belongs to the city's own transit zone. The crossing follows the Göta älv out toward the sea, then weaves between islands such as Brännö and Vrångö while a guide explains how the fishing villages and summer cottages here grew up, and why the islands still keep their old pace. Boats are enclosed, with deck space open in fair weather, so sailings leave in most conditions. Most guided options run about two to three hours, enough for a proper look at the islands without taking up a full day.
